The story behind Silent Heroes

“Silent Heroes” grew from a desire to create music that soothes, relaxes and tells a story – universal yet personal. The idea arose during Handscape rehearsals, when Kuba suggested drawing inspiration from film and game music: sounds that guide us through emotions and imaginary worlds.

It began with a handpan melody. Yet something was missing that would give the piece its true heart. The breakthrough came when Vova met singers Justyna Rapacz and Julia Pliś during rehearsals at the Royal Opera. That sparked the idea of combining handpan with operatic vocals – something no one had dared to do before.

Their first meeting became a musical journey full of emotion and intuition. The handpan became the backdrop and rhythm, while the voices became light and space. From this encounter came a unique story of the silent hero within each of us – invisible, yet essential.

“Silent Heroes” offers no simple answers. It leaves space for personal interpretation – perhaps that is why it touches so deeply.
